A live recording of 12 of the songs that went together for a season of my journey. This group of songs tells a piece of my story.
They are some of the first ones I wrote alone on a guitar. Now looking back it was before I had answers to many of my questions. Those years were some of the darkest years of my life so far.
Things seemed very mystical at times…and they were. God was speaking very clearly to keep me on track..yet there were some things being told to me that I didn’t know whether they were God or not and knew I would have to keep living to find out.
When I recorded these I was in the middle of it all. I remember being emotionally numb in so many areas of my life yet when I sang these songs I could feel something.
I was drawn to writing, sometimes just to try to find answers, but they only came when they wanted to. It was like when you know you are going to vomit, you have enough time to get to a toilet or grab something to hold your mess. I would grab my guitar and my recorder and it would come.
